While I am passionate about coffee and saw an opportunity to begin a business that shared in this, the Sanga seed was planted on a far deeper and more personal level. Having had first hand experience with losing a loved one to cancer, I wanted to align this business with a local NGO that was making a positive and impactful difference to the lives of cancer patients.
My search revealed so many inspiring organisations to choose from - yet how would I choose? Then, I chanced upon an interview with the founder of ‘Project Flamingo’ – Dr. Roodt. Her passion and energy for her work was enthralling, and I felt strongly that the fit was right. And so, Sanga proudly associates itself with this incredible organisation that aims to change the journey of cancer patients in Cape Town’s public health sector.
We fly their flag by aligning our brand with theirs (you can’t miss the pretty pink stickers worn by our products) to create awareness and hopefully entice customers to want to lend a hand in whatever capacity they are able to do so.
